Download Volume
This section provides a step-by-step guide to download volumes from the cloud management portal. This feature allows you to securely retrieve volume images for backup, migration, or local usage purposes.
1. Login to the Cloud Portal :
- Access your cloud management portal using your credentials.
2. Navigate to the Volume Section :
- Go to Compute > Volumes.
- You will see a list of all the volumes available in your account, including root and data volumes.
3. Identify the Volume :

Locate the volume you want to download.

If the volume is attached to a VM, ensure that the corresponding virtual machine is in a stopped state.
Note: The download option is only enabled if the VM is stopped.

If the volume is not attached to any VM, the download option will be available by default.
4. Download the Volume :
- Click on the Download icon under the Actions column for the selected volume.

The system will initiate the download process.

Depending on the size of the volume, the download may take several minutes to complete.
5. Save the Volume File :
- Once the download begins, your browser or operating system will prompt you to choose a destination on your local machine.
- Save the file to a secure location.
Important Notes

Large volumes may result in extended download times, depending on your internet speed.

Ensure sufficient local storage is available before starting the download.

Do not interrupt the download process to avoid corrupting the file.
