Cost Explorer
The Cost Explorer in the Cloud Management Portal offers users a powerful tool to visualize, analyze, and export their cloud usage and associated costs. With detailed billing breakdowns by service, users can pinpoint which resources are consuming their budget and make informed optimization decisions.
This documentation will guide you through understanding and using the Cost Explorer effectively.
Accessing Cost Explorer

To open the Cost Explorer window, Log in to the Cloud Management Portal.

From the left-hand navigation menu, go to Billing > Cost Explorer.
- You’ll be taken to the Usage Explorer page, showing a summary of charges and detailed billing per service.
Select Billing Period
At the top of the Cost Explorer page:
- Use the Date dropdown to select a billing period (e.g., May 2025).
- The selected date determines the billing statement shown below.
Current Total Charges

Located under the “Usage Explorer” heading, this section displays your total current charges for the selected billing period (e.g., ₹16,757.81).

You can also download the detailed billing data in CSV format using the Download CSV button for external analysis or reporting.
Payment Summary and Savings Plans
1. Payment Summary :
This shows your organization’s usage charge for the selected billing period.

Detailed Billing by Service
The “Bill Detail by Service” section offers an itemized breakdown of all services and their associated costs. You can click Expand All to view detailed cost entries for each category.
